Nestled amongst the lush green surrounds of Carrara parklands, the Carrara Sporting Complex plays a perfect host to Odyssey NYE 09. Its vast fields will provide ample space for patrons to enjoy themselves in a party environment without feeling smothered.  Easily accessible from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the centre is approximately 10 minutes drive from Surfers and just 1.5kms from Nerang Station. However, we do recommend that for ease and convenience that you utilise the transport options offered through Odyssey on the night of festivities.

A new venue you ask?

After careful consideration and analysis of our previous events, the Odyssey team made the informed decision to upgrade venues and take up residence this year at Carrara Sports Complex; a short 10 min trip down the road from its old stomping ground at Dreamworld. We received substantial feedback from patrons who attended Odyssey at Dreamworld and discovered that the cramped conditions of the theme park was mainly an inconvenience to most party goers. 

It was also noted that there was not enough room for revellers to get a good view of their favourite bands and really soak up the live entertainment- the key element which makes Odyssey such a spectacular night! And with this year's intense superstar line up featuring the likes of internationally acclaimed Aussie rock gods Jet, as well as big names Grinspoon, The Butterfly Effect, Bliss n Eso, Phrase, Malente and Sam La More (with more to be announced), it was imperative that we amplified the space in which we hosted such an event to ensure we could fit everyone in!

Regardless of the venue change, we are still keeping with past tradition by continuing to strive for value-for-money with an all inclusive ticket which includes all your drinks, amazing fireworks displays and a cracker line up. We have not changed our winning transport system either which has assisted so may attendees in getting from A to B at past Odyssey events. Here at Odyssey, we too agreee with our patrons that there's nothing like thrill-seeking, fun rides to help celebrate such a joyous occasion like New Years Eve.  It is for this reason that we have have added a range of amusements to light up the grounds at Carrara Sporting Complex and thus add to the overall atmosphere of this winning event.  Whether you want to be swung around gently, whisked through the air or turned inside out and upside down, there will be a ride for everyones tastes at this years Odyssey.
